After a marathon night of coding, I've brought news commenting online!

Logged in users should be able to comment on, and read comments of, news items. Including this post! :D

However there are a few things I'd like to point out about the commenting system, and the other minor updates that came with it. Hit the jump for the full details.

First, you might notice this:

This is a lovely button that will collapse and expand a comment's reply thread. Use it to make reading comment threads a lot easier.

Concerning the bold text you see in the above screenshot: I will write up a guide on how to use the commenting system to produce fancy text like that. The guide should be up in a few days.

Also, I've been messing around with the site in general. One of the larger messes that might be apparent to you (if you look hard enough) is the appearence of the site. I've made some CSS changes. If the site looks terrible, or you can't read it, or something just doesn't look "right". Let me know! Either comment below, use the feedback form, or email me! Be sure to include what operating system you are running, and what browser you are using to view the site. I love getting the chance to fix bugs in my code ;]

In addition to css changes, I've made some core functionality changes, as I am moving away from OSDate to my own code. One of the changes that could affect you is the url rewriting I've changed. Currently, it does not apply to anyone, but I would like to point out that eventually the link to your profile page will be accesible only by sqzzy.com/u/profileName. This is different from the current standard of sqzzy.com/profileName. I will allow both formats to be used for quite some time.

Those code functionality changes I have and am continuing to make, will make adding new functionality easier, and should allow me to continue to provide this site with wonderful tools for its users :D.
